What better way to describe what Camp Twin Lakes is all about than to have campers and their parents share their experiences! Here's what they are saying about Camp Twin Lakes:
When I found out I had a brain tumor, I felt alone and that no one was feeling my pain. As I grew older I wondered if and when I would meet people like me. Two years ago I was introduced to camp through my doctor. When I went to camp, I met people with cancer just like me. For the first time, I was not alone. Camp to me is like family and another home.

Thank you so much for Camp Twin Lakes! Being a kidney transplant recipient, I can relate to many of the kids who attend the camp. To make a long story short, the Camp gives me strength to face the world another year.

Without attending Camp Twin Lakes, life with my disease would be different. Camp showed me that I do not have to be ashamed of the way I am.

If I could describe what Camp Twin Lakes means to me in just a few words it would be the perfect place on Earth. Camp Twin Lakes is basically my sanctuary. It's the place that I can go to and for once feel complete in body and mind. When I'm at camp, I am no longer different from everyone. In this place, different becomes normal, and for me, that's a dream come true.

Wow. This camp is my life. I would never do anything to change it. It has changed my life. I know that there is somewhere I can go so I am not the only one with a problem. The staff is like wonderful. They are nice, fun to be around, and all around the best kind of people in the world. The fact that there is a place in the world that I can go to and have everyone around me so nice and that makes me feel like an angel. The facility is awesome. I love how the walkways are paved, everything is clean, and it is so fun. I can't describe the feeling when I get there. I just never want it to end. This is possibly the best place on planet earth and I would do anything to live here.
